I just came across this gem from the late poet, Jane Kenyon, and I thought it might give others guidance for planning their weekend.
Be a good steward of your gifts. Protect your time. Feed your inner life. Avoid too much noise. Read good books, have good sentences in your ears. Be by yourself as often as you can. Walk. Take the phone off the hook. Work regular hours.
~Jane Kenyon
All best wishes for enough quiet to hear your voice rise within,

I get my best ideas while I’m walking my dog.

Walking the dog. Sitting quietly in a chair looking at the sky. Inspiration and prayer are how I get my writing juices flowing. Thank you for the helpful reminder.

You’re most welcome, Faye. It’s always nice to hear from you – all the way form Down Under!

Wonderful advice. I do like quiet times and alone almost all the time, although sometimes I would like some company! My phone is always on silent and do read a lot. Not much of a walker though. Thanks a lot for the poem ๐
